“We are very passionate about our hobby, keeping ornamental fish!”
Our main objective is to see healthy fishes in our aquarium without spending too much time maintaining them. There is nothing more therapeutic than having a glass of wine while admiring your fishes swimming at the comfort of your own home
Water is essential in maintaining the health and colour of your ornamental fish. As most of us are busy with our daily lives, we offer alternative solutions in keeping the water clean & PH balanced instead of changing of water traditionally which is time consuming & environmentally harmful.
After extensive research and trials, we found LSL Aquatic filtration system. Now, keeping sensitive ornamental fish, like Wild Discus, is a breeze as you no longer need to change the water of your aquarium.

Water First!
Maintaining the correct water balance
Having the right water first, only then we can try to optimize the diet of our fish and play with water conditioner and other additives. Having low quality or dirty water and spending on miraculous aquatic products will fail. The right water and a proper filtration help to cut down maintenance time and water changes.
If we keep fish in the right water and manage a certain water quality in our tanks, the fish will grow well and will look stunning. We don’t need to buy expensive medicine or water conditioners. Let the water take care of your fish.
No Complicated water treatment
In Singapore we are lucky that our tab water is suitable for most of the ornamental fish (Plecos, Arowana, even wild discus). No complicated pre water treatment should be required, although some fish keepers age their waters because they are afraid of chemicals in our drinking water. Most hobbyists are just doing fine utilizing anti-chlorine or some sort of uncomplicated carbon pre filtration.
Having the right water in a good quality available is a huge advantage. A lot of bacterial fish problems can just be cured with a huge water change, adding some salt and installing a heater, without unnecessarily spending on medicine and other water conditioners.
Ketapang Leaves (Indian Almond)
Ketapang leaves can be collected all over our beautiful island and are even sold in other parts of the world because they have to be shipped from far away. When collecting Ketapang leaves in your neighbor hood just make sure you collect the dry ones and rinse the leaves before dropping in your tank. Ketapang leaves are a great natural medicine against fungal disease and bacterial problems.
Keeping the Tank at the Right Temperature
One of the biggest challenges in Singapore can become our climate. In other parts of the world people have to use heaters for their tanks.
We are lucky in that sense that we can run tanks completely without adding heaters saving electricity. But unfortunately our climate is too hot. As an estimation, most of our tanks are 30-32 degrees if we don’t install chillers, which is a bit too hot and at this temperature germs and bad bacteria will bloom easily.
money plants
When it comes to money plants, we can either buy them at a garden center of even Cheers, or we might want to go for a little stroll to a nearby construction side or an area with lots of greens growing. I don’t think we will get fined if we cut some branches. Also before inserting in tanks washing would be required. Money plats are a very efficient way to get nitrites out off your tank. Money plants are one of the best ways to remove unwanted nitrate from our tanks.
Control the Pump flow
If your pump is producing the right flow, you don’t even need to syphon your tank, because the flow will autumatically transport the debriss into your filter.
Secondly, make sure you pump outlet creates surface agitation and you don’t even need to install air stones. Just to make sure one important topic. Air stones don’t work that way that they run air through the water and therefore the oxygen level of the tank gets higher. The air stone actually makes the surface of the water move, also called surface agitation and there a gas exchange will happen and oxygen gets into the water.
