No more headached with high nitrate levels.
From now onwards your tank water will be clear. The Nitrate King helps to remove Phosphate and Nitrate and therefore water changes have to be conducted less frequently.

Operation
The Nitrate King has to run permanently at a very low flow. Once per day the complete tank volume should be running through Nitrate filter. E.g. for a 500l tank volume a flow rate of 20 l/hour would be required.
The Nitrate King L is suitable for tanks up to 500 l. The Nitrate King L is suitable for tanks up to 2.ooo l.
Recharging of system depends on nitrate levels. We recommend every 4 weeks.
Maintenance
Instead of using bleach solution, which is highly risky, the Nitrate King will be charged with a common salt solution.
Salt is the same people use for cooking without iodine. We used the Pagoda brand from NTUC. Salt (NaCl) provides CL- ions for the resin that can help to remove Nitrate (NO3).
XL Nitrate King 6kg of salt diluted in 20 l of water. L Nitrate King 2.5kg of salt diluted in 8 l of water.
Connection
Either 12/16 or the biger 16/22 hoses can be used to hook up the Silicium bead king to your tank.
Since the flow rate is not very large a 12/16 hose might be sufficient.
Gardena quick connector clips are included, hoses not.
Connect the Nitrate King to your main pump system via a “T” connection or use extra pump.
Install a valve to regulate the water flow.
The intervals of rechanging Nitrate King are depending on tank stockings, but usually every 3 to 4 weeks should be sufficient.
For canister filters, just use a “T” connector to flow water through the Nitrate King.
