BEAD KING
Crystal clear, sterilized water for your tank. The Silicium Bead King acts like a UV light for your tank, but you don’t have any maintenance costs, such as replacing bulbs or electricity. No power supply required. Easy to back-flush.
BENEFITS
Finest particles get stuck in between the Silicium beads and die over time. A biofilm will develop after approx. 5 days which helps to eliminate germs and bad bacteria. Crystal clear water, without bad backteria will appear.
OPERATIOn
The Silicum Bead King is ideal for smaller tanks up to 300l. The flow rate should be about 200-300 litres per hour, to guarantee a full sterilization of your tank water.
For bigger tanks multiple Silicium bead Kings can be used, just don’t use them one behind each other, each Silicum Bead King should have it’s own circut.
To utilize a Silicum Bead King to protect other LSL reactors is possible. E.g. you can run a Silicum Bead King prior to a Nitrate King.
Maintenance
After a certain amount of time the flow might get reduced as the Silicium Bead King gets clogged. The beads don’t need to be re-charged, just backflush the Silcium Bead King.
The intervals of back-flushing the Silcium Bead King depending on tank pollution. In gerneral every 4 weeks should be sufficient.
Connection
Either 12/16 or the biger 16/22 hoses can be used to hook up the Silicium bead king to your tank.
Since the flow rate is not very large a 12/16 hose might be sufficient.
Gardena quick connector clips are included, hoses not.
Connect the Silicum Bead King either to your main pump system via a “T” connection or use extra pump.
After flowing through the Silcium Bead King the water can either flow back into the main tank or the sump tank.
For canister filters, just use a “T” connector to flow water through the Choral King
It’s advisable to use a valve that allows you to regulate the water flow.
